GARAM MASALA
Garam masala means “hot spices” and contains a unique blend of black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, cumin, cardamom, dried chilies, fennel, mace, nutmege and other spices. Garam masala is the basic spice blend of northern India. Garam masala has its own interpretation in every northern state. It is available in most Indian grocery stores.
 
GINGER (ADRAK)
Ginger originating in South Asia and cultivated in ancient China and India. Ginger now grows in most tropical countries. It is available ground, dried, preserved, candied, fresh and crystallized.
